Masters of Science in Mathematics Education (MSME)

The MSME is intended for those who teach mathematics, and those who wish to teach mathematics. The program has two tracks, one in middle school mathematics, and another in high school mathematics. The programs include education requirements.  Unlike the M.Ed., the programs are based on mathematics content, and the electives allow participants to take more mathematics content courses than in the M.Ed.  Applicants should currently hold valid teaching certification or be working towards teaching certification through another program.

Note: This degree is not a teaching certificate.  The awarding of this MSME degree does not carry certification to teach.

The requirements for the MSME are listed in the program's checklist.
