As chair since 2005, I work with a department of nineteen tenure-track faculty, six full-time non-tenure track faculty, three part-time instructors and twelve Teaching Assistants, all of whom are graduate students in English. My major teaching areas are undergraduate composition and graduate courses in rhetoric, and my major area of scholarship is composition and rhetoric, particularly concerned with the history of rhetorical theory, first -year writing courses and writing across the curriculum.
