Center for Study of Books in Spanish for Children

The materials on this site are available in both Spanish and English. The site is edited by Isabel Schon, who has included a vast array of quality books which are written for Spanish-Speaking children. There is information about workshops, and the center's conference. Making Multicultural Connections
Created by the Montgomery County Public Schools. They have identified multicultural books with instructional content and have created a database with these books, some of which include lesson plans. Native American Books
Designed specifically for Native American students and teachers, this directory of educational books and A/V tools is quite extensive, though at the moment it is under construction and in dissarray. Includes a section called Big$ Baddie$, which examines popular children's books that many Native Americans find offensive, and provides reasoning behind objections to these books. Center for Børnelitteratur
The Centre for Children's Literature opened in Autumn 1998. It is situated at the Royal Danish School of Educational Studies in connection with the National Library of Education. It is the task of the Centre to "create the most favourable conditions for the production and dissemination of and research on literature for children and young people", as stated in the proposal submitted to the Ministry of Education in Spring 1998. The Centre has its own statutes and Board. Available in Danish and English.

Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis 1998
The Arbeitskreis für Jugendliteratur has awarded the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis since 1956. Divided into 4 categories: Bildrebuch, Kinderbuch, Jungendbuch, Sachbuch. Nicely designed site gives information about the nominies in each category, including an annotation, the cover, and short biographies of author and illustrator. THE FEDERATION OF CHILDREN'S BOOK GROUPS

The National Centre for Research in Children's Literature (NCRCL)
The NCRCL is the headquarters of the British branch of IBBY. The Centre is based at Roehampton Institute London, which houses several collections including the Children's Literature Collection in the Learning Resources Centre and the Froebel Early Childhood Collection.
