India Opal wants to adopt a friend for her dog Winn-Dixie. She knows the chances of another great pet bumping into her in the local grocery store is slim to none. This time, she is going to do the research to find the perfect friend. She knows a good place to start is the local library but isn't sure what to do after that.
Your task is to research a type of dog you would like India Opal to own. Think about what you would need to do before you get a dog. Write a letter to India Opal telling her the kind of dog you think she should own. Include why you think she should own this kind of dog. Also let her know how she can go about adopting this dog, and any other special care instructions she would need to know about owning this dog.
