Additional
materials will be given in class.
Objectives:
The
materials in German 105 are designed to reinforce the listening and speaking
skills taught in German 101. They will
strengthen and increase the student's vocabulary. The additional materials that will be given
or assigned during the class sessions will help to increase the student's
cultural awareness.
Procedures:
Toward
the beginning of the semester the exercise assignments will be made. Students will work independently on the
assigned exercises. Problems or
questions will be discussed during one of the 8 compulsory meetings. The written work will be due at the times
stated by your instructor. Absolutely
all written work must be turned in by Monday of the 13th week of class. Any practicum not handed in by Friday of that
week will receive a "0."
Attendance
at the compulsory meeting is essential.
You will earn 25 points at each meeting.
Missed points cannot be made -up.
Grading
System:
Of
the total number of points possible you will need:
100-90%
for an A
89-80% for a B
79-70% for a C
69-60% for a D
59 -
for an F
Work to be turned in for a grade will come
from German Is Fun and other assigned work. At most one test will be given at the end of
the semester and it will be based on the cultural material discussed during the
class sessions.
