Dr. Miller’s Miscellaneous Interests and Weblinks.

Since I am both an avid reader as well as writer of speculative fiction, I have to include a few links to some (mostly free) online webzines.

Abyss and Apex - a webzine of "speculative and imaginative fiction, with special attention to character-driven stories that examine the depths and heights of human motivation from a broad variety of cultural and social perspectives."

Ideomancer – This is a speculative fiction webzine that includes not only great speculative fiction but also interviews and reviews of books.

Infinite Matrix - a webzine "featuring new science fiction by major writers, reviews by respected critics, and essays by original thinkers. It is kind of monthly, kind of weekly, and kind of daily."

Strange Horizons – a webzine that publishes art, poetry, nonfiction as well as fiction in the speculative fiction genre.  New content is posted every Monday.

Other speculative fiction on the web:

Shadow Unit - as Elizabeth Bear describes it "Shadow Unit is, more or less, the website for a serial drama in internet form. Or possibly it's a fan site for a TV show that doesn't exist."

Also check out Locus magazine's website for all the latest news in the speculative fiction world.  The print magazine is full of reviews for both novels and short stories as well as columns featuring different science fiction and fantasy writers.  Barnes and Nobles often carries this magazine, but if you're really into SFF, then I recommend a subscription.

This site is still under construction with more links to be added in the future…..or the past.
