E-Vising: Getting Started
Dear Advisees,
It is that time of
year again to choose your classes for the next semester. As your Advisor, I am here to help you with
this process. But before we meet (either
Online and/or Face -To- Face “F2F”), you MUST complete your
program planning form and gather all of the materials necessary for your
advising appointment with me (either F2F or Online). By collecting this information before hand,
it is my hope that we have more time to spend (if you wish) on your questions
as well as professional development for your field. Below are the steps that you should follow so
that you may gather the necessary paperwork for the appointment.
1. Log onto GULLNET to view your Academic
Requirements
(Home-Self
Service-Student Center- Academic Requirements from drop-down menu)
2. Review your
Academic Requirements Report, which is your degree audit that checks all of
your completed and in-progress graduation requirements. Use this to help you determine the classes
you need for next semester.
3. Use the Online
Course Schedule to select potential classes that you wish to register for next
semester. (Home-Self Service-Student Center-Search for Classes) Make sure to check the course pre-requisites
using the online catalog.
4. Complete the online
program planning form. This is very
important as I am unable to meet with you until you submit this form (when you
submit the form a copy is sent by email to you and me).
Also, for your
knowledge, the courses you choose on this form are collected in an excel
spreadsheet so we know how many seats are needed for each class. Without this valuable information we are
unable to plan correctly for the spring classes. Don't forget to include two alternative
classes. The form may be found under
step four on this site:

and seniors who have been accepted into the Professional Program) is:

5. Professional
Students sign-up for an appointment (either F2F or Online) via my web page http://facultyfp.salisbury.edu/kxkhazeh
and
choose E-Vising link. Please read all the pages
carefully and act accordingly. Your appointment could last approximately 30
minutes. Please note: You may have to reschedule if you are not
prepared!
6. For the F2F meeting, bring
your completed major checklist (see next page for instruction) and a copy of
your program planning form (a copy is emailed to you as a PDF).
