I am the British Romanticist for the English Department and a native of Great Britain.  I am also the Associate Director of the Bellavance Honors program. 

In Fall 2008, I am teaching Honr 312 and 490, as well as Honr 311: American Civil War Through Literature and English 474/574: British Romantic Literature.   Books required for the Honors course are listed below:

In Spring 2008, I taught a course entitled "London & the Lakes," in which students traveled to the U.K. for spring break (a first for SU!).  You can find more information on the SUCIE website.

In Fall 2007, I taught Victorian Literature and Wilderness in Literature.

In Spring 2007, I taught an Honr 112: Rwanda--the 1994 genocide and its Origins (with Prof. Long), Romantic Literature, and a graduate seminar on Charles Dickens.

In Fall 2006, courses taught include HONR 211: Jane Austen's England and Engl 477: British Novel I.

In Spring 2006, courses taught include British Literature I: 1800-1900, Wilderness in Literature, and American Southern Renaissance.

In Fall 2005, I offered two sections of ENGL 474/574, Romantic Literature.   I also taught a graduate seminar, 19th Century Literature and Society, and an Honors English course, "The Edges of War."
