Host, Focus on Health, a series of
educational programs highlighting current health issues sponsored by the SU
Department of Nursing which air on Salisbury University's public access channel,
PAC 14 for the residents of Wicomico County. Over 100 programs have been
produced to date, including such topics as: Heart Disease, Skin Cancer,
Food Safety, Stroke, Prostate Cancer, Adolescent Health, Sexually-Transmitted
Diseases, Advance Directives, Medication Management, Lung Disease, Osteoporosis,
as well as, a special edition where Dr. Pasquale Petrera of Peninsula Orthopaedics
Associates filmed a total knee replacement procedure in the operating room at
Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC). More recently, a laparoscopic
cholecystectomy, coronary artery bypass graft and DaVinci robotic prostatectomy procedures were filmed.
