Week 1 (Sept 3):  Technology Standards.  Effective searches. Assignment:  Read Chapter 9 and complete reflection activity.

Week 2 (Sept 10) Acceptable Use Policies, Copyright, Fair Use, Internet Citations, Web site evaluations.
Nazi Rule, Holocaust Revisionism
Assignment:  Read Chapter 2 and complete reflection activity; web site evaluation

Week 3 (Sept 17):  Web page construction

Week 4 (Sept 24):    Treasure Hunts. 

Assignment due:  Hot List

Week 5 (Oct 1):  WebQuest
Assignment due:  Treasure Hunt
Assignment:  Using word processing, begin to design your WebQuest.  Develop the Introduction, Task, Evaluation rubric, and Resources.  During class next week, we will develop the web pages for each of these sections.  

Week 6 (Oct 8): WebQuest
Assignment:  In addition to continuing to work on your WebQuest, find one Cool Tool on the Internet to aid in construction of web-based learning tools.  Send the web address with a 1-2 sentence overview to me by Monday, October 14.  Be prepared to share your Cool Tool with the class on Tuesday.

Week 8 (Oct 22): Sharing and peer review
Assignment:  Read Chapter 6 and complete reflection activity.

Week 9 (Oct 29): Classroom management strategies.
Assignment due:  WebQuest
Assignment:  Read Chapter 3 and complete reflection activity. Complete Hot List activity.

Week 10 Nov 5): Telecollaboration: 
Assignment due:  Hot List; listserv message

Week 11 (Nov 12):  No Class:  Riall Lecture in Holloway Hall.
Assignment due:  Listserv summary and reflection sent via email.

Week 12: (Nov 19) Portfolios; Portfolio rubric
Assignment due:  Telecollaboration project.

Week 13 (Nov 26): NTEQ lesson design, independent work.
Assignment:  Create two lesson plans

Week 14 (Dec 3): Independent work.  No class.  

Week 15 (Dec 10): Assignment due:  Lesson plan

Week 16 (Dec 17).   Assignment due:  Philosophy statement and Portfolio
