Many teachers face the reality of having only one computer for a large
group of students. The problem is finding effective strategies to
integrate the technology while keeping classroom management in
check. Use the following Treasure Hunt to find ways to make use of
the limited technological resources in the classroom. Answer the
questions by using the links within each question, then answer the Big
Question.

responded. Read their suggestions and summarize the one that
could best support your instruction.

A teacher with one computer can take students on virtual
field trips. Tramline offers links to several sites for
virtual field trips. Students could take the trip or create
trips of their own for others to participate in. View several of
the trips and then write an explanation of Virtual Field Trip.

access to computer technology? Read the heading Borrow,
Beg, or Trade.

Big Question:
What are the best strategies for
utilizing one computer in your classroom? Develop a lesson plan that
utilizes one computer as a learning tool for students.
