In October of 2003, the Department of Nursing received full accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The Department of Nursing has undergraduate programs for traditional, 2nd degree, and RN students. The Graduate Program offers a Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner, Health Care Leadership and Management, and Clinical Nurse Educator tracks. There is also a Post Masters Certification options for Family Nurse Practitioner and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Care Leadership.
