A public service announcement (PSA) is generally a short message (30 or 60 sec) by a non-profit organization. It is primarily informational and/or persuasive.

Your PSA for this class will be informational.  Write, produce and perform one 30 sec radio PSAs profiling an important woman in American history. The PSA should be technically and creatively sound with historical accuracy. Along with your PSA on a CD, you must also turn in a script and bibliography with at least two sources.

PSA should be exactly 30 seconds in length (word count 65 - 70). Include a music bed along with narration. Each PSA will have this standard CLOSE: " With a profile in women’s history, I am (your name)."

PSA should have a beginning (attention-getting), middle (with target audience in mind, choose facts they would find more interesting) and an end (conclusive, summarizing statement).
