Your final project (portfolio) should include a minimum of…
Your final project (portfolio) should also include…
.
This collection of materials and accompanying explanations will look different for many of you. This is fine. I do not need a “standard” lesson plan. I just want you to give me the materials in your typical manner. However, since these are to be shared with others you do need to indicate the following on each:
a. Grade level or intended audience
b. Any prerequisite knowledge
c. The content or process standards the lesson addresses
d. Time requirements
e. A set of “teacher notes” that would be given to a substitute teacher if you expected them to successfully implement the “activity”. This will probably run about ˝ to a full page!
You are welcome to adapt any of the activities we do in class for your classroom. You are also welcome to find materials on the web and adapt them for your classroom. Just cite your sources.
How to turn in
I allow for you to print all of your materials out and place them in a binder, however, I strongly encourage you to put everything in electronic format on a CD. I can teach you how to make PDFs. This needs to be turned in on August 7 after your presentation.
This is due the final day of class (August 7) during which you will present it to the class in a 10-minute session. This presentation should include an overview of your collection, where the materials fit into your scope/sequence, and a brief walk-thru of some of the materials (as time allows).
