Since 1996, I've been working on a study of the links between US and Indian conservation policies and sciences. A book based on this research, Inventing Global Ecology, was released in Asia and Europe in December, 2002, and in North America in June, 2004.
You can purchase a copy of this book at any on-line retailer, including amazon.com - just make sure you get the US edition in paperback, otherwise it is pretty expensive!
Reviews include the March 31, 2005 issues of Nature
(a pdf file), the October 2005 edition of the
American Historical Review, the January, 2004 issues of
Conservation
and Society (a pdf file), as well as a review
of the Indian edition published in
The Hindu, the
leading national newspaper of India.
One of the articles based on my research is available in the on-line archives of Economic and Political Weekly. You will need to register with their website (free). You can then search for the article by my name, or by the date of the issue (June 15, 2002). The article's title is "Scientists or Spies? Ecology in a Climate of Cold-War Suspicion."
