Evaluation Procedures
There will be four exams and a comprehensive final along with weekly homework assignments and
several quizzes to be announced. On all problems, you must show your work. No work, no credit
(even for correct answers). This applies to exams as well. In general, there will be no make up exams.
The final grade for the course will be calculated in the following fashion: Homework & Quizzes 25%, Tests 50%, Final 25%.
If your grade on the final exam is higher than on one of your other test scores it will replace the lowest test score.

Attendance Policy:
You are expected to attend all classes. If you miss a class, it is your
responsibility to get the notes and the assignments from another member of the
class.

Homework:
Homework will be assigned, collected and graded on a regular basis.
You are encouraged to work together on the homework, however
the paper you turn in should reflect your personal preparation. Homework
assignments will usually be due two class periods after they are assigned.
Important Dates:
Wednesday, August 31: Classes Begin.
Tuesday, September 6: Last day to drop/add without penalty.
Friday, October 28: Last day to withdraw with grade of W.
Wednesday, November 23 - Friday, November 25: No class (Thanksgiving).
Friday, December 9: Classes End.
Wednesday, December 14: Final Exam, 1:30pm - 4:00pm, DH 112
