Evaluation Procedures
There will be three exams and a comprehensive final along with weekly
homework assignments and weekly quizzes. On all problems, you
must show your work. No work, no credit (even for correct answers). This applies
to exams as well. In general, there will be no make up exams. The final grade
for the course will be calculated in this fashion: Homework, Quizzes
25%, Tests 50%, Final 25%.

University Statement on Modes of Instruction:
As part of the University’s commitment to returning to normal operations,

Mode of Instruction:
Given the pandemic, the University may need to change our modes of course delivery.
If this is the case, this syllabus may be modified in terms of types of assignments, assessments, etc. as appropriate.

Attendance Policy:
You are expected to attend all classes. If you miss a class, it is your
responsibility to get the notes and the assignments from another member of the
class.

Homework:
Homework will be assigned through ConnectMath and can be accessed through the Modules tab in MyClasses.

Important Dates:
Monday, August 30: Classes Begin.
Friday, September 3: Last day to drop/add without penalty.
Monday, September 6: No class (Labor Day Holiday).
Friday, November 5: Last day to withdraw with grade of W.
Wednesday, November 24 - Friday, November 26: No class (Thanksgiving)
Friday, December 10: Classes End.
Tuesday, December 14: Final Exam, 10:45 am - 1:15 pm, Location: TBA

Students may repeat courses offered by the Henson School of Science & Technology one time at Salisbury University without special permission.

Departmental Tutoring Center:
The Mathematics and Computer Science Department provides free tutoring for students enrolled in 100- and 200- level math and computer science courses. It opens each semester on the first week of class and continues to the last day of class.
The center is closed during final exam week and school holidays. The Tutoring Center is located at the Mathematics Emporium in the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons (GAC), room 201 and operates on a walk-in basis, no appointment necessary. The tutoring schedule can be found here.
