Evaluation Procedures
There will be two exams and a comprehensive final along with weekly homework
assignments and several quizzes to be announced. Some class time will be devoted to
group work. A class participation grade will be given. On all
problems, you must show all relevant steps made to arrive at your solution.
Solutions will be judged by their logic and completeness. In general, there will
be no make up exams. The final grade for the course will be calculated in this
fashion: Homework and Quizzes 25%, Class Participation 5%, Tests 40%, Final 30%.

Mask Policy:
It is university policy and our class policy that masks must be worn at all times will attending class.

Class Attendance:
Due to social distancing requirements and classroom sizes, class instruction will be delivered in a hybrid format.
You will be assigned to one of two groups. Each group will alternate between in class and synchronous online instruction via Zoom.
I will be streaming class lectures and posting recordings of the lectures and notes online.

Attendance Policy:
You are expected to attend all classes. If you must miss a class, it is your
responsibility to get the notes and the assignments from another member of the
class.

Homework:
Homework will be assigned through WebAssign.
Should you have any questions regarding homework please feel free to ask between classes or during my office hours.
In order to complete the homework, you will need an access code and class key. For instructions on how to set up your account,

Important Dates:
Monday, January 25: Classes Begin.
Friday, January 29: Last day to drop/add without penalty.
Monday, March 15 - Tuesday, March 16: No class (Mini-Break).
Friday, April 2: Last day to withdraw with grade of W.
Tuesday, May 4: Classes End.
Wednesday, May 12: Final Exam, 10:45 am - 1:15 pm, Location: TBA

Henson Course Repeat Policy:
Students may repeat courses offered by the Henson School of Science & Technology one time at Salisbury University without special permission.
This policy applies to all undergraduate courses offered in the Henson School of Science & Technology, effective academic year 2013-2014.

Departmental Tutoring Center:
The Mathematics and Computer Science Department provides free tutoring for students enrolled in 100- and 200- level math and computer science courses. The Tutoring Center is located at the Mathematics Emporium in the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons (GAC), room 201 and operates on a walk-in basis, no appointment necessary.
