IV.      COURSE DESCRIPTION

Prerequisites:  ISMN/INFO 211 and will be enforced.

Topics & Objectives:  This course is an introduction to technical topics related to microcomputer systems with a special emphasis on hardware architecture, operating systems, basic networking, and   applications software compatibilities issues.  Students will be practically exposed to microcomputer hardware architecture studying and assembling PC components and installing various operating systems and applications software in the lab environment.  Upon completion of this course students should qualify to receive A+ certification.

Grading and Examination:  The final grade for the course will be determined according to the following:
